The brass shut off valve I bought many years ago came from a boating
supply store. I believe it has pipe thread at both ends but not sure at
this moment.

OK, I think I have a plan coming together. I have a number for a cheap
filter with threaded fittings, and some ideas for routing. I think I may be
able to have all metal lines in the trunk, with one exception. The mention
of a shut off valve got me thinking. What have any of you used for a shut
off? There's a ton of them on line, many intended for snowmobiles, etc.
But what works, is all metal, and hopefully has threaded fittings that can
be adapted to 5/8 steel lines?
Thanks for the info, guys,
Stu
