When I retired I built a shop to restore cars and bikes. I installed a used
four post alignment lift. It was a bitch to work under. Sold it, installed a .
two post 12k cap. 12 years and 0 problems. I recommend you modify your roof
to accommodate the hoist. Gary, B9472283 cat311. The best Tiger in the
world. nobody but me will judge my resprayed car. enough plaques. Now
it's Crossfires. No judging, and they are fast. four of them. two SRT6.
Perfect condition due to Waxoyl. On steel, tops, seats and electrical
terminals. my 73 Norton looks and runs new. I bought it new. never beat on
the street...Until the Z1 Kaw. 900. I have my helmet on.

Hey, guys:

I'm thinking of adding a scissor lift to my shop. I don't have room for a
two-or four-poster lift as the ceiling is too low, but a scissor lift will
work just fine. The unit I'm looking at is a Bendpak MD-6XP mid-rise lift.

Does anyone out there have a scissor lift in their shop? Can anyone give me
some guidance on the pros and cons of one of these? I realize that by using
one of this type, I won't be able to get to the driveshaft and transmission
area, but if I have to do anything like that, I can always use jack stands.
However, for everything else, this lift looks to be about ideal for my
application.

Any thoughts?

Thanks much,
Andy Walker
