[Tigers] Original vs Restored.

Great responses by all. I think that one thing that it points out is that
different people have varying opinion as to when 'originality' is broken. Is
it when any part is replaced? Or only if it's replaced with a non-OEM
equivalent? To me, a repaint or over-paint, even if it's in the original
color, would definitely break originality. Keeping the running gear
operational and safe with appearance-equivalent stuff does not harm
originality... nobody should be out there with old brake lines and radiator
hoses, regardless of whether the car is a show-only machine. Interior
appointments are somewhere in the middle, given that you can buy such
high-quality vinyl parts; but as Mike says, if you have an example where the
seats are in good shape even after 50 years, then why tear that up?

Thanks all,
Theo
