I think that motor in the alpine might be a Zetec Ford. Which is similar to
what you find in a ford focus, and many lotus super 7 type kits, cosworth
inspired  OHC motor. They are good motors and if you google ZETEC ford in
sunbeam you will find others who have done it.

What engine is in the red Alpine?  I have a lot of admiration for such clean
installations.  My stuff always comes out looking like a kids tree house. 
It may be a cool idea, but mine still looks "tree house."  That Alpine
looked like it had a quality architect and a custom designer.
