[Tigers] Paint - originality question

Ron, 

My Mark IA, VIN 1447, has unmolested original paint in that area. Hinges are 100% body color.

That is an interesting picture. I was not aware of that detail. 

Any original Tiger owner on the list with unmolested original paint who can 
add to this discussion and confirm that picture?

As my car is being painted the original Forest Green I decided to forego the 
black paint as it wouldn't be needed. 

It will be dark enough 
that it won't contrast with the factory black painted "snout."
