I have seen no responses to your question.
I can see where painting part of the hinge would give you more of a blacked
out look but I think the hinge would look strange with the bonnet up
exposing the 2 colors on the hinge unless the car is black.
I'll try to investigate that some.
My hinges are body color - BRG.

Hello listers,
I am trying to resolve a detail of paint originality and hope that someone
can help.
I came to understand from an Alpine forum that the factory painted the hood
hinges satin black - at least in part - to match the satin black paint that
the factory applied to the Tiger's inner "snout."
Specifically, the part of the hinges that is visible when looking inside the
"snout" was painted black by the factory.
My question is - what part of the hinges did the factory paint in the same
color as the chassis?
