Ok.  Now I understand.  It is as they say.  When you screw in the diaphragm
rod into the center part of the points, and you push the rod up, the outside
portion of the points mechanism goes up, and when it reaches a certain height,
the spring flips and the inside of the points mechanism drops.  The points are
attached to this inside portion of the mechanism.  I can now see how this
could be described as "throw over".  That is, as you keep tightening the
diaphragm rod, at some point, you don't have enough lift to cause the points
to "throw over" and drop.  That is the point they want you to get to, and then
loosen the diaphragm rod 2/3s of a turn (counted by the mounting holes that go
through the diaphragm.

So, now you know.  When I get this done, I will write up a whole description.
