[Tigers] 260 versus 302 Starter

The small geared Ford starter works just fine; there are at least three ways
to wire it. If you have money to burn get a new one, otherwise like I did, I
bought one from a wrecking yard for $30.00, disassembled and cleaned it;
it's been in my Tiger for 10 years, works great.

I'm just wrapping up a change over to a 302.
Can I use the 260 starter?
 
I recall someone mentioning a smaller, stronger starter.
Where would I find information, purchase and how much?
Any drawbacks to the new starter?
