[Tigers] kinda tiger related - 73 Hillman "Tiger" on BaT?

Alright guys.just when I thought I was starting to understand the lineage, I
got this curve ball. So Chrysler buys Roote in the late 60's.67 or so right?
So they are calling this a Chrysler Tiger and when I read the posts by
readers at the bottom, I get mixed signals.it was marketed in different
regions as different things.but still the roots appear to go back to Rootes
at the end.

 

What gives?
