[Tigers] Bumpers

Having been most rudely accused of doing evil things to my bumpers by Jim Armstrong, ("(I happen to know that Tod
Brown paints his with dull silver rattle-can paint and coats the final product with baby seal blubber
for thatMaine coastal shine. This is not what I'm looking for."),I wish to set the record straight.

Although the rattle can and seal blubber application was the traditional treatment forMaine pickup bumpers in the past
and did add a certain je ne sais quoi, we have moved on to a more environmentally acceptable procedure. The problem,
mostly, was that the moose lick the bumpers and the porcupines gnaw on them. (Have you ever seen a porcupine with
heavy metal poisoning?) Naturally, most would think that we Mainers would somehow incorporate duct tape into the
solution (We live close to the Canadian border and get The Red Green Show), but there is something clearly superior.
I was in my local Agway recently and discovered a type of tape even better than the revered duct tape. It's every bit as
strong but it's really SHINY! (like chrome). So I have redone my bumpers with the shiny tape which makes them look really
elegant and then sprayed them with clear coat. I have also filled my tires with nitrogen fromEngland. Now I'm ready for
the concours at the United. I'm also sending Jim a couple of rolls of the tape, so he can do his bumpers and his (lug) nuts.
If others are interested, I can organize a bulk buy of the tape.

Cheers,

Tod
