I see Norm's registry shows 3947 ' survivor count' ...some of those might
not exist any more if they've been written off ... ( I did a quick scan of a
few MK1a's and a couple are dated to '75 as last entry ) and of course there
will be others that have never been registered with his site ...
I'm gonna guess that there are more 'unregistered' than ones on the registry
that no longer exist so I'll say 'more than' 4000  IMHO
