[Tigers] Chrome bumpers /painting the rear

Jim,
Although my chrome is fine, I do have experience with chroming bumpers. 
In all cases the entire bumper is plated with all layers of metal 
(copper, nickel, chromium).  Usually only the front face is polished, to 
reduce labor costs.  This is how the factory did it.  If metal repairs 
are necessary it is done before the plating(s), usually called "triple 
plating".

No additional protection to prevent rust is necessary, however both 
sides should be cleaned of surface deposits.
