Bob -
I think Ford makes the part I have, I don't have the Fomoco part number for the inertia switch handy, But I have one going in the Tiger down the road with the EFI and likely will retrofit to another car. I got mine from HRP world, I'm sure other places have the same part. If I dig up the box I can post the Ford number. Not inexpensive, but might be one of those life saver things...
It is an odd thing that looks like it would trip easy, but used in racing so must be somewhat stable.

I think it is a Normally closed circuit, so it would be wired inline with your fuel pump and iginition relays. I don't know if I would run it inline of the pump as some of the pumps do draw a good amount of current and not sure the capacity of the switch. I also read somewhere (Might be the hrp site) that it should be mounted near the driver for easy reset...

Subject: [Tigers] Fuel Pump Shutoff
Who has added an inertia switch to their pump wiring to automatically shut
off the fuel pump in the event of an accident? What switch did you use? How
big is it? I think I recall someone saying they had used one from a Ford
pickup... ? Tips, tricks, advice or installation instruction? Wiring
schematic?
TIA
