The MSO is the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin. The MSO acts like the
original title to the car and is used with a bill of sale to register and
license the car for the first retail buyer. Since race cars aren't usually
licensed or registered, the MSO and a series of bills of sale from owner to
owner should stay with the car as proof of current ownership. Still having
the MSO is further documentation that the car was never registered for
street use.
