If your upper A-arma are hitting the frame, it a good indication
that your shock towers have sagged inwards. A common problem
with Tigers and Mustangs. Since your cross member is off
measure the distance between the towers. The shop manual has
the measuremenst. A good frameshop can press them back out.
If you have not done so, read the Tech tips on reinforcing the shock
towers. Sagging shock towers is not a big deal. All Tigers
eventually get this problem.
I strongly recommend making and installing John Logan's tech
tip about reinforcing the lower fulcrum pin

I've had my crossmember in and out a few times, but always with the A-arms
off. In trying to install it now with the A arms on I can't find an angle
to
squeeze it in...A-arms hitting on frame rail. Okay guys, what's the trick?
It came out okay in one piece:-)
