[Tigers] Tiger / Alpine stock wheels

Somewhere backing the archives we had a discussion about this before.
Someone turned up a factory memo from back in the day stating that the
stock Tiger wheels should not be used for any sort of motorsports
whatsoever.  And some British vintage racer convinced his ultra
conservative racing club to allow him to switch to Minilites or
something because of this.  Does anyone remember the details?
