Mayf,
You could learn a lot from dynoing the engine as is first. If you replace
the springs first, you'll never know if the valves were floating until the
next run at Bonneville. Knowing the HP @5200 rpm you're getting now will
also give you an effective aerodynamic drag that lets you calculate just how
much HP is needed to bust 200 mph and what gears to use knowing where the HP
peak is.
