[Tigers] exhaust dressing for original exhaust manifolds

Hello again,
 
OK. I'm working away on different aspects of the rebuild and all.
 
I've glass bead blasted the original exhaust manifolds.
 
Has anybody had good luck with the exhaust manifold coatings they sell in  
Eastwood? Just want to prevent rust and keep things looking nice. They advertise 
 that their coatings are good to 1200 F but a very knowledgeable friend said 
that  wasn't nearly good enough. Much higher temps he says are seen in IC 
engine  exhausts.
 
Anybody?
