[Tigers] brake booster

I did some reseach awhile back. I even wrote Girling and got a letter back
which was signed by two people. They gave me the model number for the car.
What I learned was that they say the correct booster gave a ratio of 3:1
and could be found at Jaguar suppliers. The one SS had had a 2.3:1 boost.
The one VB had had a 1.9:1 boost.

I had actually already bought the VB one by then because it was less
expensive than the SS one and came with a mounting bracket kit. Well, the
kit was useless and I think the boost ratio is too low.

I now run the .70 MC and don't need a booster. I had to to fit the side
draft Webers (on my Alpine).

I have a long list of the cars that had the booster. But, it's at work. I
can supply it later.

I'm pretty sure it's the Volvo 1800 that used the same brake booster as
the
Tiger. In searching recently there is a company that sells a booster to
fit
that Volvo. So, I assume that it will fit the Tiger. It has a note that
"a
mounting bracket will have to be fabricated" so it's probably a little
different from the original. And it may be the same replacement that Tiger
owners are
already using. The price is $299. See the link below.
