[Tigers] Diesel Efficiency

It has always been my understanding that diesels are more efficient because 
they use a much
higher compression ratio than a typical gasoline engine, thus allowing the 
mixture to do more
work when ignited.  We all know that higher compression ratios yield more 
power.
