Thank you for the replies. I can do the math, but was interested in any  real 
world experience in running 3:31 gears with a 5 speed in general...given  
that there are so many variables, including tire diameter and characteristics of  
the specific engine (power band/rpm ceiling/etc.) being used. My suspicion is 
 that 1st gear will end up of somewhat limited use, all other factors 
considered.  I'm just not convinced I want to go back to the 2:88's...
