It was applied, machined off and the valves were as good as new. How deeply has it been scored? If you're using it on an XPAG you may be able to get by with just having it skim cut by your machinist...you'll lose a little pressure but not much. Even though you may not have a Judson, I think the answer would apply. mailto: gbfolchi at yahoo.com Neil Anderson Illinois -----Original Message----- From: superchargers-bounces at autox.team.net [mailto:superchargers-bounces at autox.team.net] On Behalf Of John Seim Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2010 8:13 AM To: superchargers at autox.team.net Subject: [Super] Case relining Is there a recommended process to coat the inside case of a blower that has been scored? They have some very interesting manholes in Slovenia! http://belzonaespana.com/assets/PDFs/XXII_53.pdf -- Randall From kww at gte.net Fri Mar 5 14:06:43 2010 From: kww at gte.net (Kevin Wayne Williams) Date: Fri, 05 Mar 2010 14:06:43 -0700 Subject: [Super] Case relining In-Reply-To: <09E19134-1B88-4811-A077-82AEE9D093B2@earthlink.net> References: <09E19134-1B88-4811-A077-82AEE9D093B2@earthlink.net> Message-ID: <4B917263.3060902@gte.net> I couldn't find one. If you are talking about a Shorrocks, then one thing I have noted is people claiming that under high-speed the vanes and the case come into contact, and the interior of the case gets shaved out a hair in the process. If that's true, then you should steer clear of extremely hard coatings, as that would cause vane wear.
