<div dir="ltr">I'm going with a problem with the condenser or coil on the basis the problem gets worse with use and goes away when things have cooled down.<div><br></div><div>With a fuel pump problem I'd expect fuel starvation which in my experience is a smooth loss of power to no power at all, rather than popping and and misfiring.</div><div><br></div><div>If it's not the coil or condenser it could be a bad distributor rotor arm or cap - that deterioration when they warm up. I like to replace both items according to a 'life' I give them and seal them in a bag with a label stating good when removed and when that was and with what mileage. I have a 1960 Bugeye. Starting sputtering a bit recently but yesterday it got much worse on a 20 mile drive. Started to pop and sputter and lose power. Pretty good on flat roads but even on a minor grade it would hardly move. Limped it to a friend's house. We checked and re-set the points, no improvement. If I let it sit for a while it runs okay for maybe a mile and then problem gets bad again. Can't really drive it far or it is going to leave me stranded. I'm thinking a fuel delivery problem, pump or carbs. Would appreciate any thoughts from folks here. <br>
