<div>Linda,</div><div> All brake fluids are synthetic. The DOT system of numbers all relate to the boiling point or temp before the stuff boils. DOT 3 is good enough for such a light car as a Spridget. I would suggest Lockheed DOT 4. It was recommended to me recently by a local parts supplier that has been selling Brit car parts for 40 years. The Castrol Brake Fluid is no longer made by the same people in England. It is not the same stuff anymore. I just rebuilt the complete brake system on my Bugeye and replaced all the fluid with the Lockheed stuff.
