Got the suspension rebuilt, the brakes renewed and new gaiters on the steering rack. These rubber gaiters have been sitting around for a few years. You know, one of those things you get around to doing. Tonight was to check the fluid level in the diff. That was OK, but the big job tonight was drain and refill the Datsun transmission. Got the fill plug off easy enough using a large Crescent wrench. Then on to the drain plug. I placed a big plastic pan below the drain plug and removed the plug. WTF! Less than a cup of oil came out of the transmission. It is supposed to hold 2 1/2 pints! Guess I will be checking that more often. No wonder it was notchy shifting.</font></div><div><font face="sans-serif">Mike MacLean</font></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div id="composer_signature"><div style="font-size:85%;color:#575757" dir="auto">Sent from my Samsung Galaxy , an AT&T LTE smartphone</div></div></body></html>
