Lynette and I were fortunate enough to talk with him for quite a while last weekend and am happy to report that he is doing great and seems 100%. <br class=""><br class="">I first "met" Peter as a 17 year old kid reading his first stories in R&T about a Sprite racer's view of Corvettes and his experience as a boy trying to turn a Buick into a race car. In 1984 I read a feature called "Return of the Bugeye" that made me want one, as well as to race someday at this mythical place called Blackhawk Farms. A fellow past and present Triumph, BSA, Harley, Honda and Kawasaki owner it turns out, his motorcycle road trip stories still get me through each winter. <br class=""><br class="">The stories flowed freely on Saturday, some of them involving adventures with others on the list back when we'd take ad-hoc trips to see cars or each other. His memory and recollection of detail is astounding, and he sees details the rest of us just don't. Peter is a kindred soul to many of us, and if there is a more humble, genuine person in our hobby I haven't meant him or her.
