<DIV>Sorry, I finally gave up and punched the pins back into the bonnet hinge mounting plate. Although they may not be original, as David suggests, they have the look of originality because they are placed the same on both sides. If you look closely at your hinges, there would be four small holes, two larger holes centered between the bolt slots, and two smaller holes <SPAN id=xabb4c6ff4c234ac0bb71c44d810f524a>- 1 mm or less - </SPAN>off center forward on one side and backward on the other. If these smaller holes are not there, then David is probably right.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The pins and holes are very small so they are not only hard to match, but also would bend easily and no longer fit at all. My guess is that anyone who had trouble with them would just take them out as I did.</DIV>

<DIV>We had an awful time getting the bonnet locating pins in the tiny holes on the hinges, even with four people, but they finally dropped in. Now one side of the bonnet is too far forward, and it feels like the pins are preventing the necessary adjustment. I don't remember if it was that way before. I suspect that a lot of bonnets have long since lost those pins to bending, anyway. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Any thoughts on the value of those pins for a well-aged bonnet?</DIV>
