[Spridgets] Rick Fisk R.I.P.

The following message was just posted to the eMail list for the Sprite Midget Racing Series in which Rick was a long-standing member, competitor and friend.



….”Good afternoon all-

It is with a heavy heart that I advise you of the passing of our good friend and fellow Spridget Racer Rick Fisk.  Rick died on the 20th of September after a one year battle with cancer.  He was a stand up guy who always raced clean, was ready to help anyone who needed it and drove to his full potential.  

Stan Mason shared these thoughts...."  I first met Rick Fisk when he crewed for John Deikis.  Rick was always brilliant with knowledge from mostly stock Brit Cars and may have contributed to a Blog to help with Brit Car Repair.  When he decided to Vintage Race with his own car he was always an excellent driver and met the criteria of the "Donato Most Respected Driver Award".  He generously offered to assist with SMRS points system and did a great job.  His passion for racing his Bug Eye and passing it on to a younger generation is a real tribute to his excitement for Vintage Racing.  May you Rest In Peace my friend"

While Rick will no longer be with us in body, his spirit lives on as his beloved #65 1960 Bugeye is now with Scott Olman and raced as #165.
