Depressed!Stuck recovering from something which should not have happened.   3 weeks now and I'm allowed to lift 15lbs.   Desperately want to go out to the shop and do anything.   I'm so sick of TV and what's offered for viewing.I would be cleaning up the last of winters damage on trees and preparing vehicles for summer use.....and playing cars in the shop like all the other kids.Yesterday the trauma surgeon explained arteries & veins heal/repair damaged areas in about 2 weeks time.  I'm still in a period of time where I could damage the healing up area or do additional damage the the area thinking "I'm ok now".  Our church choir was to sing Saturday at Knobels ( amusement park) Saturday for armed services day.  I was told I'm not up for doing an hour presentation.  The required breathing could put a strain on the abdominal wall where I grew a pretty impressive hematoma.   ChuckRemember! It's not the coughing that carries you off , it's the coffin they carry you off in.........( Say that 5 times fast....)

Fellow enthusiasts,
Just over a week ago I was flown to a large hospital from our smaller one due to some unchecked internal arterial bleeding from 2 arteries.   I did not know how close to not surviving this I was until days later in the trauma recovery ward.  I'm quite a bit " behind" in everything due to some torn muscles which look like surgery will need and was put off due to site trauma as well as the loss of blood.   Planning on going to Import Carlisle to walk as much as I can tolerate ...I'm not up for tying down a race car in the trailer and doing the drive towing etc..  I had huge plans of driving my 61 96 project out there , again I can not do the work needed to finish & test run/drive a car that's not seen a road since 1986.   OH in my mind I can do "EVERYTHING" needed , but the amount of pain that could or would generate is probably going to be counterproductive to not ending up back in the hospital!   ChuckHow did I injure myself?  COUGHING!   ( Not a joke!  Been coughing since Easter!)  Wish I had some impressive story of some amazing feat...like getting my fingers in a 2 stroke fan blade....oh! That's right , I've already done that!
