Actually, Daniel, it was 2015 and we had just driven from Cambridge after
getting a puncture fixed by a very nice AA gentleman on a Bank Holiday.
This put us late in Warwick and our lunch at the Cape. I even operated the
canal lock for a strikingly attractive women traversing England solo. It
was here we were going to attempt to meet up with you but you had prior
commitments. Kenilworth was on my list but it were closed. We stopped at
every F1 works. Haas actually let us in as they had just moved. We put on
2600 miles from OxBridge, Silverstone, Bletchley Park going out to Land's
End, of course Perranporth and Trebah and every auto museum(Gaydon had me
near tears with all the automotive history) and RAF base in between.
Timed it for Beaulieu Autojumble and Goodwood 3 days before the Festival.
Great time wish I could have brought back some Doom Bar ale!! Much better
than Old Speckled Hen. Hmmm, I think it might be time for another trip!
Daniel, anymore books in the works?
Be well.
