Jack, that is my multi-color malfunctioning shift light! For some reason it
decided to become a lot more "festive" than I would have liked.

And thanks for the kind words Healey Rick and Erik, that was a fun race
from start to finish. Especially the last 2 laps which were bonkers trying
to fend off that very fast 356. Started the race with a really long brake
pedal and there was basically nothing left by the end hence the dirt track
style cornering.

I thought I would share a copy of Austin Healey Club's? (AHC) Marque Magazine promoting our upcoming Healey Challenge Race Road America Weekend, which I attached.? The Wisconsin Chapter of AHC has done a great job of promoting this combined event with a? pic of the start of our 2008 60th Sprite Anniversary Race (I think this is a Roger Heil Shot from the overhead start flag station).? We were fortunate enough to have 47 Spridgets Racing that weekend and I hope we can replicate that number this year as well.? There are 2 exclusive races planned for this weekend Saturday after lunch and another on Sunday after lunch.? This will allow all Healeys, 100s,? 3000s, Silverstones, Jensens, Spridgets (including MG Midgets) etc all running together.? There will be a photo shoot for all Healeys too (street and race). This will be one of the biggest combined events ever held in the US with some European cars and drivers attending.? This will be a must do event that will be talked about for a long-time!? I hope all of you can make it!

Hi List,

While not a Spridget block,this is a cast iron block that is being repaired
by what I've known called 'Metal Stitching'.  I've never seen it done
before but have seen the occasional vintage (UK Vintage - pre 1940s) racing
car block that has been repaired this way.

It's a practice that was once common.  What I found particularly
interesting was the thread they used, being a Whitworth (Joseph Whitworth)
thread that according to the late Carroll Smith was superior to SAE (UNF)
and Metric threads.

Hello All, 
I had a 948 head that was stitched in 1967, and used for 
SCCA regional and National H Prod racing for 7 years. 
The head did fail, but NOT at the stitching!!
