[Spridgets] Driveway protection?

I keep my '58 Bugeye outside under a car cover in the driveway during the
driving months here in New England. We had a new driveway put in a couple
of years ago made of brick with a granite entry, where the car sits. I've
been putting a rubber tray under it to catch the drips but it's a paint,
gotta pull it out before leaving and put it back upon return. I've been
thinking I could put one of these

for the season, held down with some spikes between the bricks. I''m a
little concerned about what would happen in the rain.
Any thoughts? Better suggestions are always welcome.
