We have a best 2 out of 4 race this year with the Sprite Midget Race Series.  Waterford Hills was added this year for the first time.  I am unable to attend and Don Kelly will lead the charge. The Sprite Midget Race Series heads to Waterford Hills Vintage Road Races in Clarkston Michigan July 21 – 23, 2023. The 3rd stop of the 4 race Series. They will have a bonus feature race for all Sprites and Midgets at no extra charge to the $425 entry fee. It is rumored that the track was designed in the 1950’s by a future Bugeye racer. This is a 1.5 mile track with some elevation changes. The fastest cars hit over 120 mph on the back straight just before heavy braking to make a 90 degree right-hand turn. With one corner speed as low 25mph and another at 80mph, there's a lot of acceleration and braking every lap.   There is currently a plan to have a large tent to house several Spridgets in the camping area outside of Turn 6. Stand by for confirmation. We will hold our traditional SMRS Lunch with brats and sides for our crews, visitors, and drivers. At this time, I am looking for cooks and people to handle the lunch affair.
