Really good points, I had not gotten that far yet.  I have 2 intake
manifolds, one is I assume pretty early and has no ports for a PVC and
the other has a PVC nipple but its broken off inside the manifold, I was
going to try and remove it, its been soaking in Kroil a few weeks now.
If it not budge with a easy-out I will cut it out and try really hard to
not damage the threads.   Doing a engine swap is all new to me, I
started this swap when i could not get a correct motor a good 10+ years
ago but life got in the way, now I am on it until finished.

If you don’t have a place to mount the PCV valve, you might want to use the later carbs. Just get rid of the poppit valves on the butterflies. You’ll have to manage to either run the hose from your tappet cover, around the header, to the Y connector, or just run a 1275 timing cover.

A gun is like a parachute, if you need one but don't have it,
you'll probably never need one again.
