[Spridgets] Well that sucks!!

 Ryan,Do you have the paint?  If so what type ( acrylic enamel, urethane) and base coat clear coat or single stage?Also I know you did all the body work.  How far is the car?   Has it been sealed or final sanded?   I am trying to determine how far is the body from final prep for color and clear if you are using that type of finish.Chuck

My MG Midget has been undergoing a complete restoration by me over the last year plus. For the past few months it has been at the paint shop getting final bodysmoothing prep for paint and getting painted. January 4 I heard from the painter and stopped by to see it in the booth finally. 

Since then nothing. Complete silence no retuned calls or texts.  

Today I called again and someone new answers. 

My painter was arrested for insurance fraud January 5 th. They are prosecuting. 

The owner of the building couldn’t get a hold of me since he had no records and the vin plate is off of the car. He seems quite happy to hear from me and work out a solution where I can get my car back. 

So we know have a car that still needs to be painted after it gets rescued. 


I couldn’t make this up if I tried.
