Here's the issue, the new shaft has the large hole for the grub screw in the #2 pedestal position like the later 1275s do, but my #1 pedestal has both the grub screw and the oil passage in it. So, do I drill one of the other pedestals out for the oil passage and move my old #1 to position 2 (which would be easiest), or do I drill and tap one of the other pedestals for the grub screw and put a set screw into the original #1 pedestal? Either way, modifying the aluminum pedestal is way easier than trying to drill a larger hole into the hardened shaft. What say the spridgteers? At Samco the rubber pattern hoses are still all strung together as I left them and two of the tools were present (I'm assured a tidy up will produce the others!). We agreed a price for hoses and I can begin to update my paperwork. What I haven't done yet is get a postal price and I'm sure that will have jumped up a lot more than hoses prices will have done. I believe the hoses will go by volume rather than weight (especially so vertical flow radiator hoses) and I need to get some Royal Mail prices. I'll probably also get some DHL prices as well in case they are cheaper than the Royal Mail. I'd even guess shipping will be more than hose prices. So, give me a bit/lot longer to get this sorted out and think whether you might want to maximise shipping costs and have both hoses rather than just the water pump hose (especially you downflow hose guys). Here's a link if anyone wants to work out shipping prices! https://www.royalmail.com/price-finder Regards Daniel -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... A vertical (downflow/early) waterpump hose with or without the bypass outlet in Silicone is going to be ?28.50. I will need to know if you want it in Black or Blue or if you want me to try and get a special colour. I also need to know if you want the Samco logo on it or not. I am not 100% certain on postal prices until I get a hose in a padded envelope or box and can weigh it. But it seems that the very slow economy service will be ?8.70 more likely less than more. While the standard service will be ?19.35 more likely less than more (all prices for the USA - likely to be cheaper elsewhere) A Vertical flow top hose is going to be ?11.45 and if purchased with a water pump hose isn't likely to cost any extra to ship (the weight brackets are in 250g increments). The question mark heater hose is going to be ?12.20 If anyone definitely wants to buy a hose and one of the postage rates I can order the hose now and give you a final price and take payment (by paypal in ? sterling) once the hose is made (might be a couple of weeks based on previous experience + they are busy at the moment). Not least these prices are barely above break even (David Doiron had the tooling made on a UK visit many years ago) and you get my time collecting the hoses and wrapping them up totally free!
