Why would you call a parts supplier for technical advice? Do you call the grocery store to find out how to cook and eat eggs? :-)

I went to buy engine parts for my BN2 and wanted to inspect them in person before buying them. Much better that way because returning parts is such a financial drain. The difference between Moss and VB was more than price and selection. When you call Moss, the sales person is somewhat to very knowledgeable about the parts they sell. When you call Victoria British this is not the case. Sales personnel there only know part numbers. They can only tell you if the part you want is in inventory or not. Most of the time the VB sales person knows nothing about British cars. I'm guessing the best we get out of this aquisition is added inventory of parts that Moss did not sell before, at least until they run out. VB prices are gone. That being said, I have been buying a lot from Ahead4Healeys and AH Spares lately. Actually better prices than Moss. Moss shipping has gotten slower taking up to 4-5 days to be delivered using their Saver Fare. I seem to remember, if you ordered your parts before 3PM you got them the next day. I have received parts from Ahead4healeys in 3 days in the recent past all the way from England. Go figure. No dog in this fight, just a personal observation.
