as you may remember my Bugeye stopped running after sitting for a few weeks.  I had spark and fuel was going up to the carb.  It still acted fuel starved though.  At that time I took my single HIF44 carb apart and cleaned it.  I thought the ethanol in the gas had left residue blocking the fuel.  So, yesterday I started it up and it seemed to run OK.  I backed it out of the garage and only got a hundred feet or so before it died and refused to start again.  This morning at 8 AM I pulled the carb off again for a more thorough cleaning.  All fuel passage ways were clear.  There was no reason for the car to act fuel starved again.  I reassembled the carb and put it back in.  The car runs fine now, but I don't know why.
