I went to Arizona in July of last year to visit Bob and buy a nice Datsun transmission for my Bugeye from him.  My son and dog were in tow.  Bob and Delores graciously put us up in their very nice house for the few days we were there.  Bob took my son and I out to several places to eat and never let me pay for the meal.  That's the kind of Bob I remember.  When I met him he lived in Solana Beach with his wife Annice.  Bob was always willing to help with any Healey problems you had.  While I was in Arizona visiting, Bob told me he needed regular blood transfusions, but he did not want them.  He said he could not live like that and refused to go.  He dealt with it on his own terms.  I have great respect for him for that fact.  I will miss him dearly first as a friend and second as a fellow Healey lover.Mike MacLean

I just learned from the Austin Healey Club of San Diego that Bob
Kitterer passed away on July 2nd.
I know he was a frequent contributor to this list, so I thought I'd pass
it along.

RIP, Bob.
