I recently re-watched the BMC film about the introduction of the Bugeye.  If you watch the film you will notice in a couple parts that it shows the windshield wipers in use.  I was surprised by the speed of the wipers when new as mine have never been nearly as quick since the original restoration 18 years ago.  I decided to put the wiper system on the list of projects i am doing to freshen up the car.  I removed the wiper motor for rebuild and found the white lithium grease I had packed it with had become stiff and gooey over time in the heat of the engine compartment.  Not sure what I will find when I remove the cable and wheel boxes.  I don't remember if I lubricated those at the time.  What lubricant should be used in the wiper motor and on the cable, if any? In any case, here's the film so you can see for yourself.
