Youse guys! I'm using a socket! I'm also using a spare hub/bearing from a rear housing I got with Frank's parts . Water came out of the rear axle before gear oil! One bearing rusted the other looks like New! But! I want all New seals in the Midget's rear .Chuck

Those I installed last month were brandy new. The old ones had been removed and installed a number of times using nothing but a Harley tool kit. (2 pound hammer, 5 pound hammer, 10 pound hammer) :-)

Indeed! I also don’t re-use them. I buy in bulk for on British Parts Northwest.

Torqued the nuts on my Bugeye hubs to 140 last month - no problems. Look up the specs on that nut and you'll find 140 is well within it's capabilities. It's a BIG nut. :-)

I'm reading 140ft lbs. Really? I'm also reading frequent accounts of stripping the housing threads at that value. Any experiences to share...or lower torque values & why?Chuck
