Subject:  Banjo boltsWell, I grab the hardware to attach the front brake a-n-d....the 2 banjo bolts look the same length, thread count/pitch type of head but. . one thing seemed odd!   One is drilled straight through and the other is only drilled through one side to the center feed hole.   I started measuring the holes.   Here's the "what I discovered " part of my surprised state.   First let me add , my experience is with straight through drilled banjo bolts.   So, the size of the single drilled hole is the same area as the straight through drilled one combining the 2 holes in area.   My initial concern was an unbalanced pressure between the 2 different banjo bolts.I've seen banjo bolts literally twist from over tightening.  The evidence is the cross drilled holes start to become oval shaped.   Now, is the single ( larger diameter hole) hole version a stronger banjo bolt than a cross drilled one?  Or!  Is the cross drilled one and the single hole one from 2 different manufacturers?  Just a curiosity I've encountered .....Frank-ly speaking.Any opinions or solid evidence is what is better, stronger or should I consult my cat?   That could be a CAT-tastrophy!Chuck.Yes!  I do pay ( not rent!) attention to every detail I can , especially if I'm going to drive it fast!
