Yes that is easy, but I had the steering arm powder coated and did not want to beat that finish up.  The twenty dollar tool from Harbor Freight worked great.  I will be using it again and again.  Besides, not much room to swing a hammer in that little fender well.Mike

Shocks the joint, falls right out. 😊

Subject: Re: [Spridgets] Tie Rod Removal Alright guys, I spring for the Harbor Frieght tool this morning.  Actually it seems to be a well made tool.  It is adjustable for small or large ball joints and has a nice black finish on it.  Within getting home I had the tie rod end separated with no damage to the powder coated steering arm.  It works great.  Thanks everyone for the suggestions.Mike MacLean

Anyone know a source for a tie rod removal too that fits the small Bugeye steering arm?  I don't want to use a pickle fork if I can help it, even if I had one small enough, because I am trying to do this without tearing the tie rod boot.  I tried just beating on the arm with a small sledge with no result.Mike MacLean
