[Spridgets] Distributor confusion!

This is correct Jeff.Factory manual says large offset uppermost, wth the slot in approximately 2 o'clock position ( so the other end points to 7 o'clock).The drive spindle has 9 teeth, so being out by one tooth will rotate the spindle by 40 degrees ( 9 x 40= 360),This suggests that I was out by at least 2 teeth last time, which is very odd.I have kicked all the wires around 1 peg.Still no fire though so about to look for why..BTW I assembled the engine, this time and last time around about 11 years ago.Thanks for the input.Andy

for the dist. shaft to engage the drive slot.  The slot and distb. shaft 
tangs are not on center.  They are offset and will only engage in one 
position.  At least that is how it is on my car for the past 40 yrs..
