[Spridgets] Won't Idle

I should have mentioned that I am running a single HIF44 carb.  It is relatively brand new from APT.  Also using Pertronix for "points". The fuel pump is also brand new.Mike MacLean

 I'd look at the float levels and the needles and seats.  Sounds like the float needles aren't seating properly.

Look at your spark plugs. If they’re not wet or sooted up, look fora loose carb at the intake manifold. Subject: [Spridgets] Won't Idle        Took the Bugeye out to run an errand tonight.  Could not get it to idle.As soon as I took my foot off the gas it would die.  I recently had aproblem with the ethanol in the gas plugging up the fuel system after leavingit sit in the garage for a few months without starting it.  I installed anew Facet fuel pump, but I can hear the new pump going constantly behind melike the tank is almost empty, but according to the fuel gauge it had at leasta 1/4 tank left.  As long as I kept my foot in it and did not stopanywhere, it ran like a scalded cat.  That new 1275 that I installed a fewthousand miles ago is finally breaking in.  I was going to replace thefuel tank. (I have a new one ready to paint and install), but I got it runningby draining the old ethanol laced gas and filling the tank with 100 octaneethanol free gas.  I thought I cleaned the fuel system out of theethanol.  It ran great for a while. It did die a couple of times, butstarted right up again and would idle, now I have to keep revving the throttleat the stop light to keep it running.  I hate this Kalifornia gas.
