[Spridgets] How can you kill an alternator

I had that problem on my ’66 with the same set up and ended up with adding an extra diode as the current was “dirty” and there was some interesting feedback in the circuit.  Third alternator worked great after that mod.

Eventually I ended up changing over to a GM 10si  single wire for other reasons and did not have the same problem either.
