Jeff,

You can sometimes tighten up the mirror flex point by removing the glass
(mirror) from the metal portion.  Just remove the black plastic "gasket"
from between the mirror and the metal and you will see what is going on in
there ;)    Just be careful not to break the mirror glass.

Inside there is an adjustment screw and sprong that mounts the mirror to
the base, (where it flexes).  You can sometimes tighten the screw and all
is well.
