I agree - not my cup of tea. That said, prices are going nuts right now. My
boss sold a 930 Turbo a year ago in perfect shape for $42,000. He bought it
for $34k in 2010. It resold for $74,000 with nothing more than the mileage
from Rockford to Pittsburgh.

I have learned from cars I've passed up (E Types, early 911s, an AC Aceca
for
$7,000...), you never pay too much for the right car, you just may buy a few
years too soon.

You have to want to have that notoriety to be interested. There are always
those who will pay for cars of this sort. Whether it make is worth more is
purely in the eye of the beholder. Clearly I am not one.

the
more power to them. Two of my friends had John Sprinzel sit in their
Sprites.
When they go to sell I will remind them to advertise as "ex-Sprinzel"
Sprites.
