[Spridgets] Air Vent Cable

Hello All; 


I am looking for the cable that controls the heater air vent under the bonnet of 73 Midget. The cable connects the air vent control knob on the upper left side of dash to the heater core air vent control under the bonnet. I cannot fine anyone who sells this item. Anyone know where to get one or how to make one? I guess I could go to a bicycle shop, but I need the length of the cable and I don't know that. I don't have the original. 


Can anyone help me?
