[Spridgets] Clogged!

Hi Mike,

I had a similar problem with my Sprite. What happened was the coating on the
inside of the tank that was applied by a previous owner separated from the
metal in large sheets and clogged up the internal screen. I had to remove
the tank and clean it out.

Went out for a ride tonight to warm up the engine of the Bugeye so I could
change the oil. I got about a half a block and the engine died. The Facet
fuel pump was pumping wildly, so I'm guessing that either the line between
the tank and the pump is blocked or something is plugging the pickup hole in
the tank. This happened last week. I could not get the car started in the
garage, so I removed the line from the filter at the engine and blew into
the line as hard as I could. Heck, it started after that, but from the
sound of that pump the gas is not getting to it. I hope I don't need to
drop the tank. Before any of you arm chair quarterbacks ask, yes there is
gas in the tank.
